Bricosmart is a service designed to provide easy access to occasional DIY tools. The challenge was to create a successful user experience that simplifies the use of these tools, making them accessible to users regardless of their background or prior experience.
Insights from initial UX interviews highlighted two key user needs: the need for assistance in choosing and using tools and the desire for sustainability, with tool rental perceived as a way to reduce waste and save money.
Assisted Rental & User-Centered Design
The design concept for Bricosmart is centered on "assisted rental." The service guides users in selecting the most suitable tools, materials, and solutions to save time and money. The design is immediate and categorized, with user-friendly filters to optimize the search process. It also offers a personalized experience without a mandatory login and suggests related e-commerce articles to enhance the user journey.
Optimized User Flow & Mobile Versatility
The core challenge was simplifying the user's customer journey. The design proposal offers a simple and immediate solution to meet market needs for content usability, privacy, and personalization. The information architecture was first carefully designed to build a logical and intuitive structure. A desktop view was then created based on an in-depth experience map to ensure the user could find a solution in the shortest possible time. For greater versatility, a mobile live chat was conceived to provide guided support for users on the go, ensuring assistance is always available.
